RAJSHAHI, April 22, 2026 (BSS)- A drill on fire extinguishing, rescue, and emergency evacuation (fire drill) was held in the head office premises of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) here today.

The Engineering, Procurement and Maintenance Department of RAKUB and the Fire Service and Civil Defence jointly organized the event.

The drill was organized to take effective measures to prevent fire accidents and to raise awareness.
During the fire drill, a controlled fire was created with the active participation of officers and employees to test the effectiveness of the Fire Detection, Alarm and Fire Protection system.

The bank’s Managing Director Golam Murtuza, General Manager Taj Uddin Ahmed and Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence Farhad Hossain were present at the drill. 

In addition, the departmental heads of all divisions of the head office; the Training Institute; the Local Principal Office, Rajshahi; officers and employees at all levels of the head office; and concerned officials of the Fire Service were also present.
