KHULNA, Jan 27, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 has arrested two suspected drug peddlers along with 12.4 kilograms of ganja during a raid in the Sadar Thana area of Khulna city today.

The arrestees were identified as Md Aktar Mia, 35, of Habiganj district, and Mirajul Islam, 25, of the Labanchara area in Khulna.

Acting on a tip-off, a special company of RAB-6 conducted a drive around 1:30pm at Jabbar Sarani Station Road under Sadar Thana. Sensing the presence of RAB, the accused tried to flee on a motorcycle but were caught on the spot.

RAB members recovered 12.4 kilograms of ganja and a motorcycle from their possession.

A case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act.

The arrestees were later handed over to Khulna Sadar Thana for further legal proceedings.
