NARSINGDI, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - A media briefing was held today in Narsingdi ahead of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman's forthcoming visit as part of the party's campaign for the 13th national parliamentary election.

The briefing took place at 11 am at the BNP district office, organized by the Narsingdi District BNP. The session was chaired by Khairul Kabir Khokon, Narsingdi District BNP President and the party's candidate for the Narsingdi-1 (Sadar) constituency.

Speaking at the meeting, Manzur Elahi, Narsingdi District BNP General Secretary and BNP candidate for Narsingdi-3 (Shibpur) constituency, highlighted the party's preparations for the visit. Leaders and activists from different levels of the party were also present.

BNP leaders briefed journalists on the arrangements, programs, and organizational activities underway in Narsingdi to ensure the smooth conduct of Tarique Rahman's visit. 

They said the announcement of his arrival had sparked renewed enthusiasm among party leaders and activists in the district. They also assured that all necessary measures, including enhanced security arrangements, had been taken.

Journalists from print and electronic media working in Narsingdi attended the press briefing.
