RAJSHAHI, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi District Police have recovered 50
lost mobile phones of various brands and returned them to their rightful
owners.
The phones were formally handed over at a ceremony held in the conference
room of the Police Superintendent's Office this noon.
The phones were handed over to the owners by Rajshahi Superintendent of
Police Mohammad Naimul Hasan, who attended the event as the chief guest.
Also present were Additional Superintendent of Police Shariful Islam,
Additional Superintendent of Police Mainul Islam, along with other senior
officials of the district police.
According to police sources, a total of 50 victims had filed general diaries
at eight police stations in Rajshahi district at different times after losing
their mobile phones.
Based on these complaints, the ICT branch of the Police Superintendent's
Office conducted technical tracking and investigations, successfully
recovering the 50 lost phones.
The recovered devices included mobiles from several popular brands.
Among the recovered phones were 13 Vivo, 10 Xiaomi, 5 Samsung, 5 Realme, 3
Infinix, 3 Itel, 3 Oppo, 3 Symphony, 1 Tecno, 1 Poco, 1 Sony, 1 Huawei, and 1
Honor handset.
Speaking at the event, SP Naimul Hasan said that returning lost mobile phones
to their owners is a matter of joy and pride for the district police.
He expressed hope that such initiatives and successes would expand further in
the future and that the district police would continue to play a more
proactive role in recovering lost property through the use of technology.
The owners expressed great satisfaction and happiness upon getting their lost
mobile phones back.
Praising the initiative of the Rajshahi District Police, they said the police
are working responsibly while standing beside the people.
They also expressed hope that such people-friendly services would continue in
the future and conveyed their sincere gratitude to the Rajshahi District
Police.
