BOGURA, Jan 20, 2026 (BSS) - A passenger of a CNG-run autorickshaw was killed and another critically injured in a road accident in Sherpur upazila of the district early this morning.

The deceased was identified as Pradeep, 45, a resident of Purba Bharanshahi village under Dhunat upazila of the district.

The accident occurred around 6.30 am in the Shalfa area when an auto rickshaw collided head-on with a bus, leaving the auto rickshaw passenger Pradeep dead on the spot and another injured.

The injured person was taken to Sherpur Upazila Health Complex in critical condition.

Officer-in-Charge of Sherpur Police Station Md. Ibrahim Ali confirmed the matter.
