CHATTOGRAM, January 18, 2026 (BSS): A drug dealer named Md. Anwar (27) was arrested with 11 kgs of ganja in a special police operation in Satkania, Chattogram here today. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkania Police Station, Manjurul Haque confirmed the arrest and informed that the arrest was occurred during an operation at around 1:30 am in the Tech area of Dhupi Para in Kanchana Union. An auto-rickshaw used for transporting the drugs was also seized from Anwar during the operation.
 
According to the OC, Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Emran Hossain and a police force stopped an unregistered CNG auto-rickshaw in the Tech area of Dhupi Para and conducted a search. They found 11 kg of marijuana in 11 packets wrapped in blue polythene inside a white plastic bag on the back seat of the auto-rickshaw. 

Anwar was caught red-handed and a case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act-2018. He was sent to jail through the court.
