KHULNA, Jan 17, 2026 (BSS)- BNP nominated parliamentary candidate for Khulna-2 constituency Nazrul Islam Manju has said if Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) does not rise up as it did in the past, the country will be ruined.

“Chhatra Dal is not just an organization, it is a political school where discussions are held on protecting the country and improving the fate of its people,” he said, adding that no force other than nationalist forces can safeguard Bangladesh.
He was addressing a meeting and doa mahfil in memory of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia organised by the Council of Former Leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at the Khulna Press Club auditorium here yesterday.

Manju called for further strengthening and making the organisation more pragmatic so that farmers, workers and hardworking people of rural Bangladesh can sleep safely and peacefully.

He urged Chhatra Dal leaders and activists to work together to ensure victory of the party candidates in all six parliamentary constituencies in Khulna.

Manju also said that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman taught the nation how to face a crisis particularly at the time of the Liberation War.

He called upon Chhatra Dal to remain active on social media alongside working for the country, the party and the people.

Former president of Chhatra Dal Khulna City unit Tariqul Islam Zaher was in the chair while local BNP leaders Bir Muktijoddha Moniruzzaman Moni, Sekendar Jafarullah Khan Sachchu, Kazi Md. Rashed and Abdur Razzaq spoke, among others.
