MAGURA, Jan 15, 2026 (BSS) - A motivational meeting with teachers was held in Magura today to ensure the successful organization of the upcoming referendum in the district, marking the occasion of the 13th National Parliament elections.
The meeting took place at 10:00 am at the conference room of the Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer. Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Abdullah Al Mahmud attended the programme as the chief guest. The meeting was chaired by District Primary Education Officer Md. Amirul Islam.
Representatives from the district police, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer and head teachers of various primary schools under Sadar upazila were present at the meeting.
During the discussion, speakers highlighted the significance of the referendum as a vital democratic process. Issues such as raising voter awareness, ensuring correct and impartial voting practices, and the important role of teachers in implementing the referendum were discussed in detail.
The speakers emphasized that teachers play a crucial and responsible role in encouraging spontaneous public participation in the referendum process.
At the end of the meeting, special importance was given to enhancing grassroots-level public awareness about the referendum through the active involvement of teachers.
