NARAYANGANJ, Jan 14, 2026 (BSS) - A 70-year old man was killed in a road 
accident in front of the District and Sessions Judge Court on the Dhaka-
Narayanganj connecting road this afternoon.

The deceased, Madhuli Islam Bhuiyan, a resident of Ranipura area in Kanchan 
municipality of Rupganj upazila, was hit by a goods-laden truck while 
crossing the road. He was reportedly visiting the court in connection with a 
cheque-related case.

Bhuiyan died on the spot. The driver and his assistant fled the scene 
immediately after the accident, leaving the vehicle behind.

Fatullah Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rehanul Islam confirmed the 
matter.
