31 candidates file nomination papers for Bhola’s four constituencies

BHOLA, Dec 31, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 31 candidates, representing various political parties and independents, have filed nomination papers for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election in Bhola district. 

The deadline for submitting nominations was December 29, 2025.

On the final day of submission, several candidates officially entered the race, including Md. Nazrul Islam of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for Bhola-1, Maulana Obaid Bin Mostafa from Islamic Movement Bangladesh, Mufti Mohammad Fazlul Karim of Jamaat-e-Islami for Bhola-2, and Nurul Islam Nayan, general secretary of central Jubo Dal, for Bhola-4 (Char Fashion-Monpura) constituency.

A total of 9 candidates have submitted their nominations for Bhola-1. The candidates are -Barrister Andalib Rahman Partho (BJP), Alhaj Golam Nabi Alamgir (BNP), Md. Nazrul Islam (Jamaat-e-Islami), Maulana Md. Obaidur Rahman (Islami Andolon), Mohammad Ashraf Ali (Islamic Front), Ainur Rahman Jewel (People's Rights Council), Akbar Hossain (Jatiya Party), Rafizul Hossain (Independent) and Mizanur Rahman (National People's Party).

A total of 9 candidates have filed nominations for Bhola-2 constituency. They are - Md. Hafiz Ibrahim (BNP), Mohammad Fazlul Karim (Jamaat-e-Islami), Md. Zakir Hossain Khandaker (Independent), Advocate Md. Jahangir Alam Ritu (National Party), Mohibullah Khokon (Independent), Taslima Begum (Independent), Mokfar Uddin Chowdhury (LDP), Md. Alauddin (Amajanata Dal) and Mohammad Abdus Salam (Khelafat Majlis).

Six candidates have filed their nominations for Bhola-3 (Lalmohan-Tajumuddin) constituency. The candidates are - Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram (BNP), Md. Kamal Uddin (National Party), Mohammad Mosleuddin (Islami Andolan), Mohammad Nizamul Haque (Bangladesh Development Party), Mohammad Abu Tayyab Rahman (People's Rights Council) and Mohammad Rahmat Ullah (Independent).

Seven candidates have filed their nomination papers for Bhola-4 (Char Fashion-Monpura) constituency. The candidates are - Md. Nurul Islam Nayan (BNP), Mohammad Mostafa Kamal (Jamaat-e-Islami), Mohammad Kamal Uddin (Islami Andolan), Abul Kalam (Nationalist Democratic Movement), Mohammad Jamal Uddin Rumi (Am Janata Dal), Mohammad Rafiqul Islam (Independent) and Mohammad Mizanur Rahman (National Party).

Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer, Dr. Shamim Rahman, assured the public that all necessary preparations are in place to ensure the election is conducted fairly and peacefully. 

Superintendent of Police Md. Shahidullah Kausar emphasized that a strong security cordon has been established around the four constituencies to maintain law and order during the election time.
