BAGERHAT, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) – Bagerhat District Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal today organized a doa mahfil and Quran recitation programme seeking eternal peace of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programme was held at Khanjahaniya Madrasa in Bagerhat.

District Chhatra Dal leaders Sheikh Al Mamun, Shamim Munshi, Emon Sheikh, Bahauddin Fahim, Nazmus Shakib, along with other leaders and activists, were present at the programme.

Addressing the event, speakers expressed deep condolences over the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, describing her as a key figure in Bangladesh’s democratic movement.

They said Khaleda Zia was an inseparable part of the country’s democratic history and noted that democracy had found direction under her leadership.

A special prayer was also offered seeking peace, prosperity and the welfare of the country.
