MANIKGANJ, Dec. 30, 2025 (BSS) - The government has allocated 5,000 blankets 
for distribution among poor and cold-stricken people in Manikganj district.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Manikganj Nazmun Ara Sultana today distributed 
337 government-allocated blankets among cold-affected people in two unions of 
Shibalaya upazila.

The blankets were distributed among listed poor people of Shimulia and Aroya 
unions in the presence of Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Shibalaya Jannatul 
Naim.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Nazmun Ara Sultana said the distribution was 
carried out to ensure fair and proper utilisation of the government 
allocation. She added that the blanket distribution programme would continue 
to reduce the suffering of poor and cold-affected people across the district.
