TANGAIL, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed when a bus hit his 
motorbike in Mirzapur upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed. However, authorities 
revealed that the victim was an employee of the Gorai South East Factory.

The accident occurred around 7.15 am on the Dhaka-Tangail highway near the 
west side of the Deohata flyover when the motorcyclist, who was heading 
towards Dhaka, was suddenly struck by a bus.

The bus reportedly veered off the highway and entered the slow lane before 
running over the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was killed instantly at the 
scene.

Inspector Giasuddin, in charge of the Deohata police outpost, confirmed that 
the bus involved in the accident has been seized. "We are working to identify 
the deceased. Further investigations are ongoing," he added.
