KHULNA, Dec 24, 2025 (BSS) - A series of two-day programmes was held here to strengthen international cooperation in cancer treatment, raise patient awareness, and disseminate information on modern treatment methods.
The programmes were jointly organised by SEOC Healthcare and Modern Cancer Hospital, Guangzhou, China.
As the concluding event of the day, a meet-the-press and press conference was held at Khulna Press Club on Tuesday night, where local journalists were briefed on SEOC Healthcare's activities, partnerships with international hospitals and future plans to enhance cancer-care awareness in Khulna.
Addressing the event, SEOC Healthcare Chief Executive Officer M M Masumuzzaman said the company, established in 2012, is a trusted medical tourism service provider in Bangladesh.
Over the last 13 years, it has served more than 30,000 patients, offering comprehensive assistance ranging from treatment planning to medical visas,
travel, accommodation, tele-consultation and emergency medical support.
He added that Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou is accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), and collaboration with the hospital is
helping people of Khulna gain practical access to advanced and cost-effective cancer treatment options in China.
Among others, the programmes were attended by surgical oncologist Dr Asad Newaz Mehdi of Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, Head of International
(Marketing) Emily, SEOC Healthcare Head of Marketing and Co-founder Farhana Hasna Tuli, Senior Executive (Marketing) Mubashir Hasan, Khulna Zone Chief Executive Mamun Hasan, along with physicians from various hospitals, members of Khulna Club, officials of Khulna City Corporation and Khulna University,
and other dignitaries.
Earlier, as part of the programmes, a meeting was held at the Khulna Club auditorium on December 22, organised by SEOC Healthcare in collaboration with Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou.
The session focused on hospital profiling and an overview of advanced cancer treatment modalities, with participation from Khulna Club directors and members.
Former mayor of Khulna City Corporation Moniruzzaman Moni and Director of Khulna Specialised Hospital Dr Sheikh Abu Shaheen attended as guests.
Professor Dr Wang Lizhen presented a detailed overview of the hospital's facilities, modern technologies and international-standard services.
