GAIBANDHA, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) – A total of 238 poor and distressed women of Saghata and Fulchhari upazilas in the district received packages of warm clothes today.

A distribution ceremony was held on the premises of SKS Resort at Hat Bharatkhali under Saghata upazila this afternoon.

SKS Foundation, a Gaibandha-based non-government development organization working across the country, distributed the warm clothing packages among 238 beneficiary women of the two upazilas under the Bangladesh Winter Programme, with financial support from Muslim Aid USA through the Muslim Aid UK Bangladesh Field Office.

Md Jalal Uddin, project manager of SKS Foundation, formally distributed the warm clothing packages to the cold-affected poor women on behalf of the organization.

Prosenjit Roy, project officer of the Muslim Aid UK Bangladesh Field Office, journalist Sarker Md Shahiduzzaman, and other officials of the organization were present on the occasion.

Each beneficiary woman received a package containing a blanket, four sweaters, four monkey caps, four pairs of socks, and four jars of petroleum jelly.
