SHERPUR, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Jhenaigati upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abu Bakkar, 60, son of late Abu Taher of Rangtia area of the upazila.

The injured are Kabita Khatun, 15, Sinha Khatun, 10, and Sifat, 20.

The accident took place on the Jhenaigati-Ghajni road in Rangtia area when two motorcycles collided head-on as bikers lost control of their bikes, leaving four people injured.

The injured were taken to Jhenaigati Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared Abu Bakkar dead. The condition of the other three seriously injured was critical and they were shifted to Sherpur District Sadar Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaigati Police Station Nazmul Hasan confirmed the matter.
