BAGERHAT, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - Kachua Upazila BNP here in the district held a joint extended meeting today in preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for February 12, 2026.

The meeting was organized at 4:00 pm by the Kachua Upazila BNP, along with its affiliated organizations. Upazila BNP President Sardar Zahid presided over the meeting.

Bagerhat District BNP Convener Engineer ATM Akram Hossain Talim attended the event as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, speakers called on party leaders and activists to remain united, set aside internal differences, and work collectively for the party's electoral symbol, the sheaf of paddy. 

They expressed their commitment to support whoever is nominated by the party for the elections. Senior leaders also urged party members to stand by the people and work for their welfare.

The meeting concluded with a special prayer seeking the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Among the special guests were District BNP members Barrister Sheikh Zakir Hossain, Monirul Islam Khan, Eskender Hossain and Ohiduzzaman Paltu; District Krishak Dal President Ashraful Daula Jewel; District Mohila Dal President Shahida Akhter; and Upazila Ulama Dal Convener Hafez Sakhawat Hossain.

Leaders and activists from BNP and its affiliated organizations were also present.
