CHATTOGRAM, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the RAB-7 recovered 1.50 lakh pieces of contraband Yaba tablets hidden inside an under construction building in Dhumpara area under Patenga thana in the city on Thursday morning. 

They also detained Md Nasir, 50, an alleged drug peddler for possessing the hidden stock of Yaba tablets, said a RAB press release here. 

Being informed, a patrol team of RAB personnel searched the ground floor of a under construction building in the area and found the Yaba tablets hidden inside a haystack at about 9:00 am today. They arrested Nasir from the spot. 

Nasir has been accused in a number of cases under Narcotics Control Act and Special Powers Act pending with Patenga police, the release added.
