KHULNA, Dec 17, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested the prime accused in the sensational murder of Tanvir Hasan and recovered five crude bombs (cocktails) and a pistol from his possession in the Shankarpur area here.

The arrestee, Musa, 30, is a notorious criminal in the locality.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-6 conducted a raid in the IT Park area under Kotwali Model Police Station in Jashore district at around 4:30pm on Tuesday and arrested Musa, son of Hafizur Rahman and a resident of Shankarpur in Jashore, in connection with the killing of Tanvir.

Based on information provided by Musa, RAB personnel later recovered five crude bombs and one pistol magazine from the same area at around 10:40pm that night.

The arrested accused, along with the recovered explosives and ammunition, has been handed over to Kotwali Model Police Station, Jashore.

A group of miscreants attacked Tanvir Hasan with sharp weapons while he was heading to the Shankarpur Ansar Camp at around 12:30am on December 7, 2025.

The victim was rushed to Jashore Sadar Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him dead.
