RAJBARI, Dec 14, 2025 (BSS) - A meeting of the District Law and Order
Committee was held on Sunday to review the overall law and order situation in
the district and discuss key issues related to the district's development.
The meeting took place in the conference room of the DC's Office and was
presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sultana Akhter while District
Magistrate Uchen May moderated the session.
A representative of the District Civil Surgeon Dr. Rahmat Ali, Additional
Superintendent of Police Tapas Kumar Pal, Principal of Rajbari Women's
College Professor Rizvi Jamal, and a representative of the Principal of
Rajbari Government College Shahriar Rahman were present at the meeting.
Rajbari Army Major Mustafa Sayeed, BGB representative Omar Ali, Deputy
Director of District Ansar Md. Jewel Rana, officials from various government
departments, and Upazila Nirbahi Officers were also attending the meeting,
among others.
The meeting discussed several important issues, including the overall law and
order situation in the district, drug control measures, prevention of
violence against women and children, road safety, and market monitoring.
The DC Sultana Akhter emphasized the need for stronger coordination among all
concerned departments to maintain law and order. She directed officials to
ensure regular supervision and take prompt actions in the public interest.
Officials from different departments highlighted their ongoing activities and
shared opinions and recommendations aimed at further improving the law and
order situation in the district.
