BAGERHAT, Dec 14, 2025 (BSS) - Bagerhat District Zia Parishad has formed its 31-member committee, appointing Professor Shukur Ali as President and Advocate Md. Mehedi Hasan as General Secretary for a two-year term.

The committee formation was approved by Acting Chairman of the Zia Parishad Central Committee, Prof Dr. Md. Abdul Latif. The approval was officially signed by Zia Parishad Central Committee Secretary General Prof Dr. Md. Emtaz Hossain.

Other key office-bearers of the district committee include Vice Presidents Prof Mobasher Hossain, Prof Abdul Awal Howlader, Md. Musaf Kakka Mia, Prof Sabbir Talukder, and Nargis Akhter Luna; Joint General Secretaries Manjurul Hasan Khokon, Prof Abu Zafar Faizul Haque, and Sheikh Idris Ali; Principal Md. Selim as Co-Organizing Secretary; Sohrab Hossain Ratan as Publicity Secretary; Md. Asaduzzaman as Office Secretary; and Advocate Md. Palash Khan as Legal Secretary.

The Central Committee has instructed the Bagerhat District Zia Parishad to form committees for all nine upazilas, as well as Bagerhat, Morelganj, and Mongla municipalities, through a conference.

Speaking to BSS, newly elected President Prof Shukur Ali said the new committee aims to accelerate and strengthen organizational activities across the district.

He expressed hope that the committee would inspire renewed enthusiasm in promoting the ideals and objectives of Zia Parishad throughout Bagerhat.
