RANGPUR, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) – The ninth three-day Rangpur Divisional Ijtema of Tablighi Jamaat ended at noon today with the participation of several lakhs of devotees from all over Rangpur division, other regions and abroad.
The vast 80 acre land of Ijtema ground in the Amashu Kukrul Field of Ward No 4 of Rangpur metropolis was filled with the sounds of Ameen of Muslims raising their hands in the court of Allah for this time and the world hereafter.
In the presence of lakhs of Muslims, the Ijtema ground became bustling with prayers, zikir, asgar and the sound of Allahu Akbar.
During the final prayer, the devotees prayed for guidance and peace for their personal and social life and the country, nation and Muslim Ummah with tearful eyes.
Earlier, the Am Bayan began after the Fajr prayer. Later, the final prayer was held after the Hedayeti Bayan.
Thousands of Muslims rushed to the Ijtema Maidan early morning to participate in the final prayer of Ijtema.
Unable to find a place in the main Ijtema ground, they took part in the final prayer by standing in empty places and on the streets. They raised their hands and sought the forgiveness, blessings and pleasure of Almighty Allah.
Before the final prayer, a sermon was given in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith. Then a guidance sermon was held.
The three-day Ijtema saw speeches in various languages by renowned scholars from home and abroad, from morning till night.
The religious devotees listened to various speeches on faith, morality and religion and made the intention to go out to spread the message of religion.
Earlier, the three-day Ijtema activities began with the ‘Am Bayan’ after the Fajr prayers on Thursday morning in presence of thousands of Musollis from all over Rangpur division, other part of the country and abroad.
In the ‘Am Bayan’, citing the Holy Quran and Hadith, Islamic scholars mentioned that happiness and peace exist in this world and the hereafter in following the orders and commands of Allah and the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
Talking to BSS, the organizers said that the Ijtema has been taking place in Rangpur city since 2010.
According to the organizing committee, Tablighi Jamaat members and common people from eight districts of Rangpur, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, and Dinajpur of Rangpur division participated in the Ijtema.
In addition, foreign guests of the Tablighi Jamaat from different countries of the world, including India, Malaysia, and Indonesia participated in it.
Organizing committee member Md Khalequzzaman Raja said that around 200 foreign guests and Islamic scholars participated in the Ijtema.
Along with the cooperation of the Tablighi Jamaat and general public, Rangpur City Corporation, district administration and Rangpur Metropolitan Police extended necessary assistance and maintained the law and order.
Md Shamimuzzaman Shamim, an organizer of the Tablighi Jamaat, said that 50 medical teams had been deployed in the field round the clock to ensure the health care of the devotees.
