BAGERHAT, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed this morning in a road accident on the Mongla-Khulna highway in Rampal upazila. 

The deceased is identified as Salman, 28, of Fultala upazila in Khulna district. He was a worker at the Rampal Power Plant. 

According to eyewitnesses and local sources, the accident occurred around 8:30 am on Foila Bridge when a speeding vehicle hit the motorcycle. 

The victim fell on the road and sustained serious injuries. Locals rescued him and took him to a nearby hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. 

Rampal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdullah Al Mamun said police reached the spot after receiving information. The body of the deceased was recovered and legal proceedings are being completed. Efforts are underway to identify the vehicle involved, and necessary legal action will be taken.
