NARSINGDI, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - A discussion meeting marking National VAT Day and VAT Week-2025 was held today at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy in Narsingdi.

The programme, part of the weeklong observance from December 10 to 15, was attended by Muhammad Rashedul Alam, Commissioner of Customs, Excise and VAT Commissionerate, Dhaka (East), as the chief guest.

Additional Commissioner Abdul Rashid Mia, Joint Commissioner Md Riazul Islam, Narsingdi Chamber President Rashedul Hasan Rintu (CIP) and Amanat Shah Group Chairman Alhaj Md Helal Mia (CIP) spoke as special guests.

Deputy Commissioner Rabindra Kumar Singh presided over the event, joined by businesspersons, taxpayers and officials of the VAT department.
