JASHORE, Nov 22, 2025 (BSS) - A youth died after being run over by a train on the Uttarpara railway line in Churamonkati union of Sadar upazila here last night.
 
The deceased was Zahid Abdullah Sifat, 21, son of Zakir Hossain of Boro Haibatpur village of the upazila.
 
SI Mizanur Rahman, in-charge of Jashore Railway Police Outpost, said police recovered the body of the deceased early today.
 
Quoting relatives, SI Mizanur Rahman said Sifat was addicted to online gambling and they suspect he may have taken the step out of deep frustration after losing money in gambling.
