RAJSHAHI, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS)- Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation 
(RCC) Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid has asked the city corporation officers and 
employees to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to 
attain the trust and confidence of the city dwellers.

As the city corporation is the service-oriented entity, he said all its 
services must be pro-people and people-friendly.

Dr Bazlur Rashid, also the newly joined Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi, 
made the remarks sharing views with the officials and employees of RCC at the 
city Bhaban conference hall here today as the chief guest.
 
Earlier, the administrator met with officials and employees of the RCC and 
heads of all departments and sections.
 
During the meeting, department and section heads briefed the administrator on 
activities related to revenue collection, primary healthcare services, waste 
management, and the current situation of mosquito-borne diseases such as 
Dengue in Rajshahi city. 
 
They also focused on the obstacles faced in carrying out their respective 
responsibilities.

With RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim in the chair, the meeting was 
addressed, among others, by Additional Commissioner Rezaul Alam Sarker, Chief 
Conservancy Officer Sheikh Muhammad Mamun, Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al 
Moin, Chief Health Officer Dr FAM Anjuman Ara Begum and Budget-Cum-Accounts 
Officer Shafiqul Islam Khan.

RCC Administrator Dr Bazlur Rashid said that there are no obstacles to 
implementing lawful duties and assured that necessary steps would be taken to 
remove existing barriers. 
 
He described the city corporation as a service-oriented and powerful 
institution, stressing the need for collective effort in delivering quality 
services to city dwellers.

He has also given direction related to successful implementation of different 
activities, including the ongoing infrastructural development, drainage 
system, conservancy, improved waste management, tree plantation and 
environment development, for betterment of the city dwellers. 

Dr Bazlur Rashid mentioned that the city corporation has attained significant 
success in different fields and called for sustaining the achievements.
