PANCHAGARH, April 30, 2024(BSS)- A total of four candidates including one chairman and three vice-chairmen withdrew their nominations today from the upcoming upazila election to be held on May 21 in Boda and Debiganj upazilas of the district.

The candidates who withdrew their nominations are- chairman candidate Abdul Mannan, vice-chairmen Asadulla Asad and Produt Kumar Ray in Boda upazila.

 In Debiganj upazila, a total of 15 candidates submitted their nomination papers. Of them, five candidates filed nomination papers for the post of chairman, six candidates for the post of vice-chairman and four others for the post of women vice-chairman.
 
After withdrawal of the candidate in Debiganj, now five chairman, five vice-chairman and four female vice-chairman candidates to contest the election.

In Boda upazila, a total of 17 candidates submitted their nomination papers. Of them, 7 candidates for chairman, eight candidates for vice-chairman and three others for female vice-chairman submitted their nomination papers.

 After withdrawal of three candidates, six chairman candidates, five vice-chairman and three female vice-chairman candidates remained to contest the polls.
