KHULNA, April 25, 2024 (BSS) - Police arrested a woman with counterfeit notes of Taka 1.15 lakh from the city last night, said a Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) press release today.
 
The arrested woman was identified as Selina Akhter Tisha, 25, wife of Bashir Mia, a resident of Bagmara area of the city.
 
On a tip-off, a team of KMP Detective Branch (DB) Police conducted a drive in Custom Ghat area of Sadar Police Station in the city and arrested Tisha while she was waiting for her client.
 
Police also seized fake notes of Taka 1.15 lakh from her possession, said the press release, adding that she was involved in fake note exchange business for a long time.
 
A case was filed with Khulna Sadar Police Station in this connection.
