JAMALPUR, April 20, 2024 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive

arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with phensydils in Jamalpur
municipality area on Friday afternoon.

The arrested persons were identified as Md Zahidul Islam Babu, 35 and Aklima
Begum, 23 hailed from Lalmonirhat and Bogura district respectively.

RAB-14 sources said acting on a tip off, a team of the elite force halted a
motorcycle in Chhankanda area at 3:30 pm.

After searching the bike, RAB members recovered 194 bottles of phensydils
worth of Tk about 2 lakh and arrested Md Zahidul Islam Babu and Aklima Begum
who were boarding on the bike.

A case was registered with Jamalpur Sadar Police Station in this regard.
