NOAKHALI, March 22, 2024 (BSS)- A motorcycle rider was killed after being hit
by a truck on the Chatkhil-Dhaka regional highway in front of Masi Bepari's
house of Bhimpur area under Chatkhil upazila of the district last night.

The deceased was identified as Arif Hossain, 20, son of Mohammad Ali, a
resident of Hirapur village in Badalkot union of the upazila.

The accident occurred in the area when Arif was returning home from Chatkhil
Bazar riding on the motorcycle, on the way a Ramganj-bound truck coming from
the opposite direction hit him around 9:45pm, leaving him dead on
the spot, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chatkhil Police Station Muhammad Emdadul
Haque said.

Police recovered the body from the spot, the OC said.

A case was filed in this connection, he added.
