NARAIL, March 17, 2024 (BSS) - The 104th birth anniversary of Father of the 
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day was 
celebrated here today in a befitting manner. 

To mark the day, the national flag was hoisted at all government, semi 
government and autonomous bodies in the district early morning.

Wreaths were placed at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 
Deputy Commissioner's (DC) office around 9 am.

A discussion was also held at the Conference Room of the DC office around 10 
am with Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashfaqul Haque Chowdhury in the chair.

The discussion was addressed, among others, by Police Super Md Mehedi Hasan, 
Civil Surgeon Dr Shajeda Begum, Zila Parishad Chairman Subhash Chandra Bose, 
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sharmin Akhter and Additional Deputy 
Commissioner Saswati Shil.
