KHULNA, Nov 29, 2023 (BSS)-Leaders of Khulna Awami League have urged their leaders and activists yesterday to work for AL nominated candidates in the upcoming 12th parliament elections.

“Everybody must work unitedly so that the people can cast their votes for 'Boat' symbol to continue the development works of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led government,” they said in an extended meeting of the city unit AL held at the party office here.

Chaired by city AL president and City Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, AL nominated parliament member aspirant of Khulna-2 constituency Sheikh Salah Uddin addressed the meeting as chief guest while AL nominated candidate of Khulna-3 constituency S M Kamal Hossain addressed as key speaker.

The chief guest Sheikh Salah Uddin Juwel said, "With a view to continuing the development works, all should cast their valuable votes to AL nominated candidates on the 'Boat' symbol in the 12th parliamentary elections.”

Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Jewel said, “I will continue the unfinished development works if I can be reelected.”  

"I owe to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she has selected me as a candidate for Khulna-3. I will get the opportunity to serve the people if I can be elected." said S. M. Kamal Hossain, also the central organizing secretary of the AL.

Among others, AL general secretary MDA Babul Rana, addressed the meeting.
