CHAPAINAWABGANJ, November 7, 2023 (BSS): Chapainawabganj district units of Awami Matshyajibi League and Krishak League jointly held a peace rally in the town here on Monday afternoon protesting the arson attacks and killing of innocent people by BNP-Jamaat in the name of blockade.

The rally was held at Biswa Road area of the town with president of district unit of Matshyajibi League Advocate Rabiul Islam in the chair.

Senior vice president of Chapainawabganj district unit of Awami League and chairman of Chapainawabganj Zila Parishad Bir Muktijoddha Md. Ruhul Amin addressed the rally as chief guest.

Among others, vice president of district AL Dr. Golam Rabbani, organising secretary Tajibur Rahman, president of Chapainawabganj district unit of Krishak League Advocate Abdus Samad, president of Chapainawabganj district unit of Jubo Mahila League Advocate Yasmin Sultana Ruma, president of sadar upazila AL Azizur Rahman and others spoke on the occasion.

The speakers warned against those of BNP-Jamaat terrorists who are creating anarchy, burning and vandalising transports and killing people.

They also urged the people as well as the party men to remain in the streets to foil the evil design of the conspirators against the country.

Before this, Bangladesh Chatra League also brought out a procession and held a protest rally in the town at noon on the same issue.
