CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 26, 2023 (BSS) -  Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested one person allegedly for possessing explosives and bomb making materials from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrested person was Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan, 25 of Hogla village under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district.

RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at Ghorapakhia village under Ranihati union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila and arrested Mizan with 4.020 kg of explosives, three small tin boxes, 250 grams iron forks and 90 pieces of broken blades.

Later the elite force handed him over to the police of Chapainawabganj sadar thana with a case.
