PANCHAGARH, May 31, 2023 (BSS) - Two persons were killed as their motorcycle hit a standing truck in Katonhari area under Debiganj upazila of the district early today.

The deceased were identified as Al-Amin, 47, son of Rajob Ali and Tohidul Islam, 36, son of Almas Ali, residents of Titopara village under Boda upazila of the district.

Police said the accident took place on the Debiganj-Panchagarh highway around 4.30 am when the motorbike hit the Mahindra truck, leaving both the riders of the bike dead on the spot.

Two other persons were also injured in the accident. They were sent to Debiganj Upazila Health Complex. Later, they were shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition, said Jamal Hossein, Officer-in-Charge of Debiganj Police Station.
