KHULNA, March 6, 2023 (BSS) - East part of the Khulna city went under heavy black smoke as a devastating fire was occurred at the defunct Dada Mach Factory tonight.

Huge black smoke has sprayed around 10 kilometers including Khulna Sadar Thana area in the city, said a Fire Service Officials to BSS tonight.

Most of the business establishments, shopping malls, kitchen markets, Borobazar and others establishments have been shut due to black smoke, he said, adding that fire fighters doused the blaze after three hours.

Talking to BSS, deputy director of Fire Service in Khulna division Tanharul Islam said, the fire originated from an abundant room in the factory where chemical sulfurs were preserved since long. A total of four fire fighters units doused the flame.

Heavy Black smokes sprayed in the city's sky and it will blow more two or three hours, he said, adding that the damage caused the fire could not be known immediately.

The fire incident occurred around 7pm, he added.
