MOULVIBAZAR, Jan 31, 2023 (BSS)- A women was killed and three others were injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet regional highway in Uttarsur area near of Bscic Shilpa Nagar under Srimangal upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Tajuli Begum, resident of area.

The accident occurred when the driver of a speedy truck lost control over the steering and hit the three women while standing on the roadside in Uttasur area of Dhaka-Sylhet regional highway around 1pm, leaving one dead on the spot and three others were injured, Jahangir Hossain Sardar, officer-in-Charge of Srimangal Police Station said.

The injured were sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital and later two of them were sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for treatment, the OC added.
