GOPALGANJ, Jan 9, 2023 (BSS) - A total of 20,000 blankets were distributed among cold-hit people in the district as gift of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

The blankets were distributed among cold hit people under Tungipara-Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj district. 

At the distribution function, general secretary of Kotalipara upazila unit of Awami League Ainal Hossain Shiekh said the blankets were distributed among the poor people in phases. Of the total, around 6,000 blankets were distributed in five unions and one pourashava of Tungipara upazila and 8,000 blankets were given to cold-hit people in 11 unions and one pourashava of Kotalipara upazila.
