RANGPUR, Jan 8, 2023 (BSS) - Chhandosik Sahitya Sangskritik Gosthi, Rangpur (CSSGR) organised a daylong 'Chhandosik Literary Conference' marking the 36th founding anniversary of the reputed literary and cultural organisation in Saturday.
 
Chief advisor of CSSGR heroic freedom fighter Anwarul Hafiz Bulbul inaugurated the conference participated by poets and writers of Rangpur division at Town Hall premises in the city as the chief guest.
 
CSSGR President, writer and history researcher Rezaul Karim Mukul presided over the function.
 
Heroic freedom fighter Akbor Hossain and poet and lyricist Rana Masud were present as honorable guests.
 
Convener of the literary conference organising committee Asaduzzaman Milon gave a welcome speech.
 
Editor of Little Mag 'Chalchitra' Raja Sahidul Aslam discussed literature while Rhymer Asafa Salim discussed rhymes in the conference.
 
Poets and writers Mahbubul Islam, Joseph Akhtar, Bashar Ibn Zahoor, Principal Fakhrul Anam Benju, Delwar Hossain, Regina Safrin, Manzil Murad Lavlu, Zakir Ahmad, Sakil Masud and Rezaul Karim Jiban spoke.

Poets Taybur Rahman Babu, Nazira Parveen, Sarkar Bablu, Selina Sattar Seli, Shravan Bangali, Khalid Saifullah, GM Naju, Shapla and other poets recited self-composed poems and poems in the conference.
 
A cultural program was held with the performance of music artists including Farhan Shaheel Lyon, Prithibi and Ziaul Haque Zia.
 
Finally, eight meritorious personalities were awarded for their laudable contributions to the War of Liberation, society, literature, music and other fields in the closing ceremony.
 
The awardees are heroic freedom fighter Anwarul hafiz Bulbul, Sergeant (Retd) Abdus Sattar, Abul Kashem Sarker, Faruk Prodhan, Rashidus Sultan Bablu, Farhan Shaheel Lyon, Nuyaishah Turin and Asaduzzaman Milan.
 
Before the closing discussion, the cover of CSSGR's memorial book was unveiled.
 
Regional Director of Rangpur Kendra of Bangladesh Betar Dr. Harun Ar Rashid attended the closing discussion as the chief guest with CSSGR General Secretary Sohanur Rahman Shahin in the chair.
 
Editor of the 'Sahitya Patrika Anjalika' poet Dilruba Shahadat, academician and literary researcher Professor Mohammad Shah Alam, literary personality Dr. Nasima Akhter were present as special guests.
