3,400 farmers to get incentive in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, March 14, 2024 (BSS) - Agriculture department will disburse incentive among 3,400 small and marginal farmers for increasing cultivation and production of Aush paddy in the district in the upcoming Kharip season-1.
 
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources said 3,400 small and marginal farmers in all the seven upazilas of the district will get the incentive in the Kharip season-1 which will begin from March 16 next.
 
Each of the farmers will get five kilogram Aush paddy seed of High Yielding Variety, 10-kilogram Di Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer and 10-kilogram Muriate of Potash (MOP) fertilizer free of cost for cultivating one bigha of land, the DAE sources said.
 
Agriculture department will disburse 1700 kilograms of Aush paddy seed while Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) will supply the remaining 15,300 kilograms seed.
