DHAKA, Sept 10, 2026 (BSS) – Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Base Bir Uttam A K Khandker team clinched the title of the Inter-Base Hockey Competition-2026, defeating BAF Base Zahurul Haque team by 6-2 goals in the final.

The closing and prize distribution ceremony of the five-day competition was held at the hockey ground of BAF Base Bir Uttam A K Khandker at Dhaka Cantonment here today, said an ISPR release this evening.

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal Rushad Din Asad witnessed the final match as the chief guest.

He later distributed prizes among the champion and runners-up teams, the release said.

Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bir Uttam A K Khandker, senior Air Force officers and other members were present at the ceremony.

Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bir Uttam A K Khandker Air Vice Marshal Haider Abdullah inaugurated the competition on September 6.

A total of seven BAF teams participated in the five-day competition, the ISPR added.
