DHAKA, Aug 29, 2026 (BSS) - Rumel Khan emerged as champion in the table tennis singles event of Cute-BSPA Sports Carnival held today (Saturday) at the Wooden Floor in Paltan.

Shamim Hasan finished as runner-up while Mahmudunnabi Chanchal secured third place in this event.

In the doubles event, Mohammad Sazzad Hossain Mukul and Shamsul Arefin pair emerged champions.

Shamim Hasan and Sheikh Sadi pair finished runners-up while Rumel Khan and Mahmudunnabi Chanchal secured third place.

Meanwhile, the carrom singles and doubles events will be held tomorrow (Sunday).

The quarter-finals will be played in the doubles event, while the singles competition will feature second-round matches.
