DHAKA, Aug 17, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman shrugged off his previous match defeat as he defeated India's FIDE Master Arnav Agrawal in the second round masters event of 32nd Abu Dhabi International Festival which is now being held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates,

Earlier, in the first round, IM Fahad lost to India's FIDE Master Binu Devdut.

With one win and one loss from two games, Fahad has secured one point. 

He will face Russia's Woman Grandmaster Valeria Kleymenova in the third round scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday).

The nine-round Swiss League event features 109 players from twenty one countries, including seventeen Grandmasters, five Women Grandmasters, thirty two International Masters, and four Women International Masters.
