DHAKA, Aug 6, 2026 (BSS)-Bangladesh national hockey team continued its intensive preparation for the upcoming Asian Games at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium with head coach Peter Gerhard placing special emphasis on improving the players' goal-scoring ability during today's training session.
Under the guidance of the newly-appointed German coach, members of the national team have been undergoing rigorous training to fine-tune their skills and tactics as they gear up for the continental showpiece.
The day's session focused primarily on attacking efficiency, with players working extensively on finishing, earning penalty corners and converting those opportunities into goals.
Head coach Gerhard also instructed the players on quick decision-making inside the circle, effective movement in the attacking third and accurate shooting to break down opposition defences.
The Bangladesh hockey team has been regularly incorporating modern tactical approaches and advanced hockey techniques during training under the German coach in a bid to deliver its best performance at the Asian Games.
