DHAKA, June 24, 2026 (BSS) - Woman International Master Wadifa Ahmed defeated Eva Peretti of Italy in the 8th round of the World Youth Chess Championships now being held in Montesilvano, Italy. 

The 8th round games were held on Tuesday last with WIM Wadifa earning four points from 8 matches.

She is scheduled to face Makhmudova of Tajikistan in the ninth round.
