DHAKA, June 2, 2026 (BSS) - The Women's U-18 Asia Cup hockey match between Bangladesh and China has been rescheduled for Wednesday. The match was originally scheduled to take place today (Tuesday).
According to a press release from the hockey federation, one match of the tournament was played on Tuesday before organizers decided to suspend the remaining fixtures due to an approaching typhoon expected to affect the area later in the day.

Bangladesh's girls' team must defeat China to secure a place in the semifinals.
On the same day, the Bangladesh U-18 men's hockey team will face their Pakistani counterpart in a crucial encounter. Bangladesh needs a victory to advance to the semifinals, while a draw would leave them out of the last four on goal difference.
In the women's competition, Bangladesh suffered a 12-0 defeat to the hosts, Japan's women's national under-18 field hockey team in their opening match before bouncing back with a 2-0 victory over the Chinese Taipei women's national under-18 field hockey team.
The boys' team began their campaign with a 4-2 win against Malaysia's men's national under-18 field hockey team but later suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to China.
