in the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers.
The Tigresses have won all four of their group-stage matches, so far, and are
on the brink of qualifying for this year's ICC Women's T20 World Cup,
scheduled to be held in England and Wales in June-July.
Top-order batter Sharmin Akhtar Supta has played a crucial role in providing
consistency to the side. She is currently the second-highest run-scorer in
the tournament, amassing 156 runs in four innings.
The right-handed batter struck two half-centuries against the USA and
Ireland, which helped her climb 22 places to joint 35th in the ICC T20I
batters' rankings.
Sobhana Mostari has also made notable progress, moving up 11 places to joint
52nd in the batters' list. Although she did not register a fifty, her lowest
score in the tournament was a solid 27.
Among other movers in the batters' rankings, Ireland captain Gabby Lewis
moved up one place to joint 15th, while Netherlands batter Stella Kallis
climbed six places to 48th.
Bangladesh bowlers also enjoyed success in the updated T20 rankings. Spinner
Rabeya Khan moved up one place to 14th after claiming seven wickets in the
first four matches of the qualifiers.
Fahima Khatun rose six places to 30th in the bowlers' list.
Elsewhere, Scotland's young bowler Catherine Fraser jumped 17 places to joint
44th, while Thailand spinner Sunida Chaturongrattana climbed nine places to
joint 46th.
Fraser, 20, has also enjoyed a major boost in the all-rounders' rankings,
surging 39 places to 25th after contributing with both bat and ball for
Scotland.
