DHAKA, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - Pirojpur and Jhalokathi U-17 district teams reached kirtonkhola zone final of the U-17 National Football Championship eliminating their respective rivals in the semifinal held at Pirojpur district stadium in Pirojpur today (Thursday).

The final between the two teams will be held on Saturday (Jan 24) at the same venue. 

In the day's first semifinal, host Pirojpur beat Bagerhat by 6-0 goals.

In the proceeding, Rashedul Islam and Mehedi Hasan struck twice each in the 47th and 78th and 59th and 63rd minutes respectively while Mehedi Hasan and Nihad Sheikh supported them with a lone goal apiece in the 49th and 73rd minutes respectively for Pirojpur.

In the day's second semifinal, Jhalokathi blanked Barguna by 2-0 goals.

Jhalokathi took the lead when Raihan Ramim of Barguna scored a suicidal goal early 5th minute Shahadat Hossain sleaed the victory scoring the second goal for Jhalokathi in the 45th minute of the match.
