DHAKA, Jan 5, 2026 (BSS) -The 1st Division Volleyball League began at 
Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the capital today 
(Monday). 

Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) vice president Machudul Alam formally 
inaugurated the league as the chief guest, jointly patronized by Zarif Dairy 
and Agro Project Limited and RK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited and organized 
by BVF.

BVF general secretary Bimal Ghosh Bhulu, first and second division league 
committee's secretary Shoriful Islam Swapan and BVF joint secretary Abdul 
Munim Saddam, were among others, present in the opening ceremony. The league 
will continue till January 11.

On the opening day, Multifabs Limited beat Shahbagh Sporting Club by while 
Fire Service and Civil Defense defeated East and Boys Club, both by 3-0 set.
