DHAKA, Jan 5, 2026 (BSS) - Former England allrounder Moin Ali joined Sylhet Titans to bolster the franchise further in their bid to clinch the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) title.

Moeen who arrived in Bangladesh only on Sunday, took little rest before playing his first match for the team today when they faced off Noakhali Express.

However, he had little to do, after a carnage by Nasum Ahmed who claimed 5 wickets for just 7 runs to rip through Noakhali batting line up and wrapped them up for just 61 runs.

Sylhet eventually won the game by six wickets to give Moeen a winning start.

Moeen previously played four seasons in BPL for two franchises, most recently with Comilla Victorians for three consecutive editions up to 2024. He won BPL title twice with Comilla. This is the first time he is playing for the franchise from the Sylhet.

Sylhet currently sit at third spot after winning three matches from six outings.
